I just believe this particular work has fallen short and I'd love to see it remastered by a 21st century American with a passion for this country of OURS and a respect for all its people. Realizing that this sad rendering may actually be the best option out there for what I'm looking for makes me want to consider writing a book on this period Cited by: 1.

This book is of a higher reading level than "Our Island Home", so it can be slower reading. For a book written init has aged well, though students will need to be reminded that the book was written during WWI and references to "of all the presidents" doesn't include any presidents past Woodrow Wilson (who was President when this was published)/5(20).
